last day of 2005! 2005's been an interesting and dramatic year to say the least. many highs and lows. professions of love, rejections, break ups, arguing, friendships forged and of course the craziness. i love the craziness, don't know what i'll do without it. i'll probably be dying with the stress of studying.
academic wise, not a good year this year. hopefully i'll be able to be much more focused next year since it's an impt year.
God works in his own mysterious way. somehow, it's flattering but at the same time, i don't think it'll work out and that's probably why i don't wanna give it a shot. i don't want to end up toying with someone's heart. oh wells.
i'm glad in legion, i don't know where i'll be without it. =)
haha, much thanks to the three idiots for contributing to much of the drama of this year. i suppose you guys won't know i'm referring to you but let's just leave it that way.

legion games day yesterday! it turned out quite alright, there was more than enough food and 12 of us turned up. nathalie, geraldine, regina, angelina, bradley, dominic, leslie, kelley, isabelle, christabelle and elizabeth. =)
we didn't follow the schedule at all. we played soccer and capt's ball. regina and i couldn't get into the water ): oh and we were victims of leslie's sandthrowing. haha, more often than not, when we went to the water's edge, leslie would chase us up the beach and throw black sand at us. regina and i were practically holding onto the cameras all the time 'cause we didn't want to get dunked by brad and dom. haha.
after sentosa, we went to isabelle's and christabelle's house for dinner. there was lots of nice food! nat was trying to force me to eat the chips! haha it was fun overall. =)

oh xiang yi! your birthday present is impossible to get! there's only slightly more than a month till your birthday! besides i thought you wanted that thing you got debbie for her christmas present? haha. if you really want someone to scold you'll probably have to wait for a longer while. unless you want the person you want to scold be your cousin. haha.

yesterday turned out quite alright, it was great. how things were uncertain at first yet turned out fine. it must really be god's doing. =) pageant was alright i guess, it did seem shorter than usual though. i don't think i screwed up. and the ending was weird, nat and clement were left there sitting for so long! gave out cards and presents and received them too! haha thanks to all those for the presents, cards and well-wishes! yesterday turned out great, i'm a happy girl for now. =)

we went christmas shopping these past 2 days. fun! i bought lots of stuff, more than i would usually buy in a month! spent a lot too! :/ nevermind, christmas only comes once a year.

yesterday i went to the marina area to shop with ah-ma, deb and xiangyi. i was the one who bought the most stuff on both days. haha. oh and in the toilet, we heard this song and deb and i were trying to identify it. it was darn hilarious, we both couldn't remember the snowman's name and i thought it was fluffy! haha! only after we asked, when xiangyi told us it was frosty the snowman, not fluffy. haha. fluffy the snowman. =)

today, the same group of us met for lunch and anna met us. xiangyi went with me to the mrt to meet yunsan where yunsan and i gave each other the christmas presents. i like the "sweeter than honey", thanks! =) group of us went to bugis where we split for our christmas shopping. i was with deb (again! i christmas shopped with her last year) and anna. we had to shop for xiangyi and ah-ma's presents. surprisingly, xiangyi and ah-ma took a shorter time to shop for 3 presents than us three shopping for their 2 presents! but what xiangyi bought was quite predictable, i managed to guess all of them correctly! so here goes the presents list:
ah-ma's: 2 nice magnets, s.h.e's album [they made me call her sister for this one ): ] and the guy list! (;
xiangyi: the extremely cute forever friends bear that's really fun to play peek-a-boo with! [okay, deb and me were being childish as usual. haha]
anna: this really nice star necklace.
deb: the orange nodding head thingy from action city that i personally think is pretty nonsensical for 26 bucks. but deb and xiangyi both love it.
mine: the light pink espirit tee! thanks you guys! but i still think it's so ex!

today's the eve of christmas eve! i'm left with only a few christmas cards left and i've finally completed my christmas shopping! =)

how nice, i'm being informed that i'm in a really screwed situation. sam's getting a kick out of all this. he think it's hilarious and he's wishing me good luck. i don't like either of the two options i'm given.. why can't i act just as per normal until the situation turns drastic (which i hope it wouldn't be)? but both sam and xiangyi are pretty sure there'll be.. um, obsessive and desperate measures taken. ):

today.. we had legion mtg. after which, went for lunch with nat, jeanne and angelina. nat and i shared but we both ended up very full still. jeanne, nat and i went to queensway to shop for a while then nat and i headed back to church for pageant rehearsal.
there's rehearsal tmr too! and we're gonna be doing our heritage proj.. hopefully we can finish earlier so we can have more christmas shopping! i've still got loads of gifts to buy! =)

i had to delete the previous post in order to "get help" so that xiangyi wouldn't get caught in between the both of us. hey, i'm perfectly okay without the help but i think xiang would just go mad if he attempts to drown in anymore self sympathy. however, now it seems that "getting help" would be a bad idea 'cause it would mean that he would hate him more. complicated mess, we're all so interlinked with one another. like the o.c, everyone's connected to each other in one way or another. cousins here, best friends there, ex here, crush there. what the hell.

yes yes i'm finally back. melbourne was good i guess, weather was nice, place was great just that there were one too many flies 'cause it was the summer and the flies were really irritating. other than that, everything else was pretty good. oh! the lil kids there were all so darn adorable! every single one of them! bought lots of stuff there, mainly not for me though, haha.

funny how things happen at weird timings. of all the 365 days in the year, it had to be the one day (and the very first day) that i landed in melbourne for it to happen. of all days, the very one when i'm not in s'pore! :/ but thankfully, i got the news first hand! okay not exactly first hand, since that girl didn't tell me herself but still, i was informed of it the day it happened. haha. hope everything turns out all right!

and i realized i missed out a whole load of fun while i was away :( nevermind, i try not to be too bothered by it.

i'm glad that i caught the survivor reunion and i know who won before i leave! at least i wouldn't be wondering who won for the entire trip. but there's still lots of things i'll be missing while i'm away:

the last 3 days..

friday
we went to sch for dance practise again. i think the dance is really nice! but i'm so afraid of the last part and i fear that on that day itself i wouldn't be able to climb up. hopefully i can get more practise on that part, even though i wouldn't be going for the full day rehearsal on 29th 'cause that's legion games day. haha sorry delia, you've have no partner on that day! anyways, the whole lot of us went for lunch with ms azlin and sheryl at tanglin. rushed home with xiangyi after that so that i could change and grab the stuff before heading to church to try out the games. we could only shoot down a few and there was water all over the corridor. oh yeah, we had legion meeting too. after the mtg, went to esplanade's library to return the book deb borrowed for me.. didn't want her to incur a fine even though i'm not done with the book yet. walked around marina square looking at clothes, shoes and christmas cards and sat in my mum's office and waited for her to be done. it was a busy day, haha.

saturday
i manage to start on writing the christmas cards to send out! =) i went to church for christmas pageant rehearsal and christmas treat preparation. attended mass with jeanne and julia. later on when i went to anchorpoint, i manage to find the small christmas cards i've been looking for! and there's 16 so that's more than enough i think. yayness. now that i've all the christmas cards, that leaves the presents. probably doing some of the christmas shopping in melbourne (hopefully i can) and when i come back with the "PI agency" as delia calls us. haha.

sunday
we went to church really early to prepare for christmas treat. i spent most of the time at the games stall with julia, regina, brad and dom. haha, we ended up playing our own game. oh yeah, both our jellybean machines went to dom who was the only one who could shoot everything down following the proper rules. haha geraldine paid him for one of the machines. water fights with the guns was fun. haha. =) and all of us were wet in someway or another, mostly by the shooting using the guns. julia and brad had a really long drawn-out water fight and bradley even refilled the gun with the water from the pool that held the fishes! haha, according to regina, the water really stinks.

haha i've realized it's been 3 consecutive days in church! it's been a whole lot of fun though. =)

haha, drinking my free starbucks ice mocha now. chan xiangyi insisted on lining up for it. the queue wasn't that bad, 'cause we saw lots of people! nathalie, joan, theresa, errol, joavan and we saw rachel leo too!

we learnt the dance in sch today. i'm rather confused about the steps now but i shall practise later when i have the song and steps. practise makes perfect! anyways, we went to tiong after that to eat lunch at long john's. the rest left and xiangyi and i went to popular to get my pens and attempted to take the stupid 123 to queensway. the keyword here is attempted 'cause we didn't really know where the bus was going and it kinda went round and round. stupid bus. haha, ended up taking mrt to commonwealth then taking a bus there. bought our fbts and went to ikea. after ikea finally headed to holland v for our free coffee. all these carrying our heavy stack of school books for next year. what rubbish. haha. accomplished a lot today. =)

yesterday [saturday]
heritage trail planning day! we started with xiangyi and i meeting deb and ah-ma at chinatown mrt station at 10. i think we walked past streets like smith and upper hokkien. there was this shop that deb and i went into while waiting for ah-ma and xiangyi to copy the notes in the temple. the shop was pretty cool, it sold quite a number of christmas and halloween stuff. the wrapping paper was so nice and cheap! but deb and i feared that we would just damage it 'cause we still had lots of walking to do so we didn't buy.. stopped for lunch at macs (of all places in chinatown!) oh yeah i forgot. huiping said she saw us! but we didn't see her..
we headed to orchard to collect xiangyi's phone after that. we had dessert again! oh and xiangyi was having problems trying to break the code to retrive the stuff in her memory card and she tried almost everything and anything like birthday dates, phone numbers and ppl's names. haha, we even tried stuff like ihateyou and iloveyou. but deb and i were geniuses! deb gave a suggestion but it wouldn't fit 'cause it was quite long and i put it in short form and voila! it was the password. how smart of us. haha.
after orchard was the raffles/marina area. we walked a lot here! from the s'pore art museum, to chijmes (the church is really nice!), to cathedral of the good shepard, to raffles hotel, to saint andrews cathedral, to the old parliament house and old supreme court, to victoria theatre, to the asean civilisation museum, to the fullerton (omg, it's so classy inside!), to the pier and finally ending at the esplanade. all of this on foot! i don't think i miss any historical site or monument out here 'cause we kept referring to the map. okay i've got to mention the fullerton here. it has to be the best stop we made and it's so nice inside! xiangyi was going on about how she wanted to attend a wedding there and asked me to hold my wedding there. haha, that's like impossible?? anyways we saw this tall gingerbread house that's really made of the biscuits and smarties. it's really cool! we didn't take a lot of pictures towards the end at the pier and esplande 'cause we were rushing for time. what a pity, we ought to take some next time round! ;)

today
1030 mass was nathalie, bradley and errol's confirmation! and to think mine was only 11 months ago! haha congrats you guys! after mass we took lots of photos, like really lots! i kept laughing 'cause geraldine was taking all sorts of photos and julia was going on about the colourful guys. and the artificial colourings! haha, that was julia's term. it was so funny.

i'm back home typing the information for the heritage trail out now. the information's all in the photos. if only i could just copy and paste, it'll be hell easier.

yayness, i had lots of fun today.
woke up early to attend 0830 mass before going for the christmas pageant mtg. how guai of me. haha okay kidding, still feeling kinda guilty for not attending mass on sunday but it's not really my fault, i was in camp!
anyways, met with xiangyi later to go repair her phone again and we met deb, delia and ah-ma after that. ate lunch at cine and finally caught harry potter even though it's been out for so long. we were so busy in the cinema passing the chips, nachos and popcorn, haha. i guess the movie's okay? it wasn't fantastic or anything but pretty acceptable i guess. after the movie, we were acting like tourists! 'cause we went around orchard taking pictures of the nice and pretty christmas decorations! haha it was funny! oh and we went to shaw house to eat icecream and we saw jiayi there!
okay i think i had enough of fun today. i had better complete at least some of my hw tmr.
